The National Association of Non-Governmental Organisations (NANGO) is the official voluntary coordinating body of registered NGOs in their diversity operating in Zimbabwe. NANGO is registered as a Private Voluntary Organisation (PVO) under the PVO Act Chapter [17:05]. It is a non-partisan, non-profit making and non-denominational organisation mandated to strengthen the voice of NGOs for the betterment of the people in Zimbabwe.
NANGO acts as the voice of NGOs operating in Zimbabwe through representation, policy advocacy, membership servicing, coordination and capacity strengthening, and the creation of an enabling environment.
The organisation operates in all 10 provinces of Zimbabwe through its five regional offices namely Northern, Western, Eastern, Southern and Midlands Regions with its headquarters located at Number 2 McGowan Road, Milton Park, Harare, Zimbabwe.
To become a member, interested organisations can download the membership application form on our website www.nangozim.org or contact the regional coordinator located within the region you operate in for assistance. The form can be submitted electronically or in hardcopies at any of our branches.
Membership Subscription
All members of NANGO shall pay an annual membership fee, payable for each financial year (January to December), the amount of which shall be determined by the Annual General Meeting. Currently NANGO Membership is pegged at US$100.00 for local NGOs and US$150.00 for International NGOs.
The association is involved in many development interventions and is always open to individuals, organisations, or businesses that want to partner for the good of society. Over the years, NANGO has continuously worked with various sectors during its flagship events such as NGO Expo and NGO Director’s Retreat among many others. The association has an open-door policy and is always open to calls for partnerships. Do give us a call, or write to us requesting a meeting, we promise to honour your requests. Also, you can submit a concept note or business proposal to us through any of our regional offices or departments.
To become a volunteer, the association has a volunteer programme that is open to all Zimbabwean citizens. Volunteer vacancies are advertised through NANGO’s official communication channels. Do follow us to never miss an opportunity!
