The State of Civil Society The 2013 Constitution, guarantees gender equality and greater promotion and protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms such as the right to freedom of assembly and association as well as freedom of expression and access to information. The Constitution also recognises the role of civic and social organisations in raising awareness and knowledge of the Constitution as well as in improving the quality of life of citizens.
